WELCOME MARINES!

Welcome to the Arizona Department of the Marine Corps League, representing some 26 Detachments spread all across the Grand Canyon state, from Yuma to Flagstaff, from Tombstone to Kingman, from Lake Havasu City to Show Low.

 

If you clicked in to find out about where a Detachment (local group) might be near you, click on the "Detachment" link on this website and that will get you to a listing of all the Detachments, the Commandant or contact person of that Detachment and you’re on your way.   Over 2,000 of us in Arizona wear the colors of the Marine Corps and serve our communities the same as we served our country in different times.

 

We do community service like assisting the Marine Reserves in the annual “Toys for Tots”. We also visit our fellow veterans in the three V.A. Hospitals across the state, participate in parades and memorials for our fallen brothers and sisters, raising funds for the Marines Helping Marines program , and many other local activities, as well as providing assistance to those in harm’s way.

 

You’d be surprised at the breadth of experience represented in our membership.  Marines who’ve served around the world now meet in the civilian world to help our communities and our comrades, past and present.

 

The Department of Arizona holds a Spring and Fall Conference and one mid-year Convention. The location of these three annual gatherings is rotated around the state among the 26 Detachments. We elect our Department officers at the Convention, review our accomplishments, hold Department business meetings and train our new Detachment officers to make them more effective at the local level.  We also have lots of time to tell “war stories,” toast our Corps, have some good conversations, and get up-to-date information on what Marines are doing all around the globe.
